Rob Biddulph is a bestselling children’s author and illustrator. He is also the official World Book Day Illustrator for 2019, 2020 and 2021. His first picture book, Blown Away, was only the second illustrated book in history to win the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize and all of his subsequent titles have won/been nominated for major industry awards. As well as working on his own titles he also illustrates for other authors including Michael Bond (of Paddington Bear fame), Jeff Brown (the Flat Stanley series) and Garth Jennings (director of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy). In March 2020 he started #DrawWithRob, a series of twice-weekly draw-along videos designed to help parents whose children were forced to stay home from school due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has proved immensely popular as a learning resource for thousands of families across the globe (approx 3 million views/35 million impressions). On 21 May 2020 he broke the Guinness World Record for hosting the largest ever online art lesson when 45,611 people tuned in to his live #DrawWithRob class. Prior to his career as a children’s author he was the art director of several major UK magazines and newspapers including Just Seventeen, NME and The Observer Magazine. He lives in London with his wife and three daughters.
