Holly always had a passion for writing as a child and it was her work experience job at Scholastic Children’s Books at the age of 15 which led her further into the world of writing. Having wanted to become a librarian so she could spend the entire day reading, she was disappointed to learn that that isn’t what librarians do! So after returning every summer and begging for a job after university, she eventually became editor at Scholastic Children’s Books. She actually wrote her first book Becky’s Terrible Term whilst travelling to work on the train. She now no longer works as an editor and focuses her attention solely on writing. To date Emma has written over 137 books!
